Hey-oh! Charlie here, comin’ at ya live from the crevices of Paddy’s Pub. Now, don’t worry, no rats were harmed in the making of this blog post… well, not many at least. Alright, so they’ve got me scribbling about the big faces you’re gonna be seein’ in the new season of the best show ever, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Ready? Okay!
The Waitress! 😍
Let’s start with my favorite topic: The Waitress! That’s right, Mary Elizabeth Ellis is back, still nameless after 16 seasons, and I’m sure she’s just as obsessed with me as ever. Apart from serving coffee and rejecting my love, she’s been busy with roles in Santa Clarita Diet, New Girl, and Licorice Pizza.
Artemis!
Next up, the ever-dramatic Artemis Dubois, played by Artemis Pebdani, is making her grand return. You know, Dee’s weird friend? And Frank’s sometimes squeeze? Pebdani’s also known for her work in Scandal, Big City Greens, and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
Mrs. Mac!
Also joining the crew this season is Sandy Martin, aka Mrs. Mac, the toughest old bird around. You might recognize Martin from Napoleon Dynamite, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and Big Love.
Mom!
My mom, Bonnie Kelly, will be back too, thanks to Lynne Marie Stewart. My sweet, loving, completely normal mom is always there for me. You might’ve seen Stewart in The Pee-wee Herman Show, Pee-wee’s Playhouse, Comedy Bang! Bang! and Bridesmaids.
Gail the Snail! 🐌
Remember Gail the Snail? The salt-loving, slime-trailing cousin no one likes? Mary Lynn Rajskub is back for more, adding to her credits that include 24, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and 2 Broke Girls.
McPoyles! 🥛
Don’t forget about the McPoyles. Jimmi Simpson, who you might know from House of Cards and Westworld, is back as Liam McPoyle, the one-eyed milk guzzler. And Nate Mooney is returning as his bird-man brother Ryan. You might recognize Mooney from Stan Against Evil and American Odyssey.
Cricket! 🦗
Matthew “Rickety Cricket” Mara, the priest turned homeless wanderer, is coming back for more abuse. David Hornsby, who you might know from Mythic Quest, Good Girls, The Goldbergs, and Six Feet Under, plays this pathetic guy.
Uncle Jack! 😳
My uncle Jack Kelly, who’s not creepy or weird at all, will be back too, played by Andrew Friedman. You may know Friedman from GLOW, Better Call Saul, and Live Free or Die Hard.
Finally, we’ve got two BIG surprises. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, of Breaking Bad fame, are gonna grace us with their presence. They’ve been in a ton of other things too, but let’s be honest, we all know them as Walt and Jesse, right?
Alright, that’s all from me. I’ve got some rat sticks to attend to. So keep your eyes peeled for these characters in Season 16. And remember, rock, flag, and eagle!
Charlie out.
I don’t buy it.
Since whn did charlie learn to read or write??
Artemis translated it, just like she did for “The Nighman Cometh.”
Can’t wait. Thanks for the preview Charlie!
